London Re:Animate
A personal exploration of London through motion design, VFX, and 3D elements
When I first moved to London, I spent countless days wandering the city with just my Lumix GX85 — a small but versatile camera that let me capture London’s character in an authentic way.
What began as casual documentation soon evolved into a personal project: to re-imagine London through animation, compositing, and 3D design.
Process

Shooting: Captured entirely on the Lumix GX85, chosen for its compact form and ability to stay discreet in the streets.

Editing: Rough cut assembled in Premiere Pro to establish pacing and flow.

Photoshop Prep: Many stills and frames were prepped in Photoshop, broken into layers to create depth and parallax.

After Effects Animation: Every shot was then taken into After Effects, where I added movement, compositing, and motion design.

Cinema 4D Integration: Select shots were extended with Cinema 4D, adding 3D elements to enhance perspective, depth, and visual storytelling.
